Like conventional open cooling towers, WSAC™ liquid coolers and vapor condensers evaporate the same amount of water based on rejected heat load. However, the WSAC system is a more efficient heat transfer system, requiring a significantly lower circulating (spray water) rate. The drift discharged from an evaporative cooler contains a variety of materials. When a water droplet evaporates, its entrained particulates are released into the air where they can be carried away by wind or land on the ground.

Wet Surface Air Cooled (WSAC) systems are optimized for industrial applications where rugged design/fabrication and cost effective, water efficient closed-loop cooling/condensing are required. WSAC heat exchangers have clear advantages in many applications involving liquid cooling or vapor condensing. WSAC systems have been successfully utilized in industries such as power, steel, refining, chemical & petrochemical processing, and food/beverage.
Niagara's "No-Frost"® refrigeration and dehumidification products are
used in very diverse commercial and industrial applications ranging from
blast freezers to breweries to cosmetic production. The unique
characteristics of these products are energy efficient frost-free
refrigeration, dew point depression, and air cleaning with airborne
pathogen removal.
